Indian Railway Approves 3 New Trains for Bihar: Patna-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat to Run Weekly

The Indian Railway Board has officially approved the operation of three new regular trains to facilitate passengers in Bihar. This decision comes after observing heavy crowds and high revenue on special trains currently running on these routes. The new services include the Patna-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express, Patna-Rajgir Express, and the Saharsa-Jamalpur MEMU train. While the official start dates for regular operations are yet to be announced by the East Central Railway, they are expected to begin shortly.

This train will consist of non-AC sleeper coaches and is expected to follow a fare structure of approximately 500 rupees per 1000 kilometers. The service will bridge the gap between Bihar and Gujarat, although local passengers in Buxar and Ara have expressed some dissatisfaction as the train currently has no scheduled stops at those stations.

Meanwhile, the Saharsa-Jamalpur MEMU (63398/63397) will serve the Kosi and Ang regions, helping daily wage earners and small businessmen travel between these important hubs at a low cost.
