Bijnor Traffic Diversion: Major Route Changes Near Noorpur

A major Bijnor traffic diversion is now in effect, impacting heavy and commercial vehicle operators. Due to essential railway track maintenance work being conducted near the Noorpur bypass, authorities have implemented significant route changes to ensure safety and facilitate the necessary repairs.

Maintenance Schedule and Supervision

The maintenance operations are being carried out under the direct supervision of the Senior Section Engineer (Permanent Way). To ensure the work is completed efficiently, traffic restrictions for heavy and freight vehicles began at 7:00 AM on October 12 and are scheduled to remain in place until 8:00 PM on October 13.

Operational arrangements for this diversion were initially set into motion on the morning of October 11. Traffic CO Ajay Shrotiya and Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Rachna Mishra have confirmed that these modifications affect travel on both the Haridwar and Bijnor highways.

New Diversion Routes and Traffic Management

Under the new traffic management plan, several alternative routes have been designated to bypass the construction zone:

  • Moradabad to Bijnor and Haridwar: Heavy and freight vehicles originating from Moradabad are being redirected through Gajraula, Hapur, Meerut, and Muzaffarnagar.
  • Sambhal to Bijnor: Vehicles traveling from the Sambhal direction toward Bijnor have been assigned specific alternative routes to manage the flow.
  • Haridwar Bound: To avoid the construction zone, vehicles bound for Haridwar are being rerouted through Amroha toward Gajraula.

Commuters and logistics providers are advised to plan their journeys in advance to account for the increased travel distance on these detour routes.
