Bina-Agasoud Rail Overhaul: 16 Trains Diverted and 20 Cancelled!
Travelers navigating the routes through Bina and Agasoud are facing significant changes to their rail schedules. Due to massive infrastructure work, including yard remodeling and the addition of a third railway line, train operations are being heavily adjusted between September 1 and October 15, 2026.
Boosting Capacity: The Infrastructure Project
The West Central and North Central Railway are collaborating on this major project to enhance track capacity and improve punctuality for commuters. A mega block is scheduled for October 15 to finalize the integration of the new infrastructure. During a recent site inspection on September 18, 2026, the Divisional Railway Manager emphasized that strict safety protocols are being followed throughout the project to ensure seamless integration.
Major Train Diversions
A total of 16 trains are being diverted, contributing to schedule disruptions for over 40 services. Check the following routes if you are traveling on these dates:
- Rewa-Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (11703-11704): Running via Bina Malkhedi-Mahadev Khedi-Guna-Ruthiai-Maksi from October 8 to 14.
- Veraval-Jabalpur (11465-11466): Operating via Bhopal-Itarsi on October 9, 10, and 12.
- Rewanchal Express (12185-12186): Diverted via Katni-Jabalpur-Itarsi from October 8 to 14.
- Howrah-Bhopal (13025-13026), Bhopal-Dhanbad (11631-11632), Bhopal-Chopan (11633-11634), and Bhopal-Singrauli (22165-22166): All diverted via Itarsi-Jabalpur-Katni.
- Bhopal-Jodhpur (14814) and Jodhpur-Bhopal (14813): Operating via Sant Hirdaram Nagar-Maksi-Nagda-Kota from October 1 to 15.
Critical Cancellations to Note
In addition to diversions, 20 trains originating from the Bhopal Division have been cancelled. Passengers should avoid planning trips on these specific services:
- Lalitpur-Bina (64618) and Bina-Lalitpur (64617) MEMU: Cancelled from September 20 to October 15.
