Bina Station Yard Work: MEMU Cancellations & Express Rerouting
West Central Railway announces MEMU cancellations and route changes for the Muzaffarpur-Surat Express due to Bina Station yard remodeling.
West Central Railway has announced significant temporary modifications to passenger train operations due to essential yard remodeling work at Bina Station. The project, which aims to connect the third railway line between Bina and Agasod stations, is designed to enhance operational capacity, efficiency, and long-term reliability for the region.
MEMU Train Cancellations
The ongoing construction work will lead to the cancellation of several MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) services. Specifically, the following trains are canceled for October 26 and 27, 2026, following similar disruptions on October 25:
- Bina-Ruthiyai MEMU (61611)
- Ruthiyai-Bina MEMU (61612)
- Bina-Ruthiyai MEMU (61625)
- Ruthiyai-Bina MEMU (61626)
Express Train Rerouting and Adjustments
Beyond the MEMU cancellations, the Bhopal Division of West Central Railway has implemented route changes for express services to bypass the construction zone. The Muzaffarpur-Surat Express (19054) was rerouted on October 25, operating via the Agasod-Malkheri-Mahadev Khedi line to avoid Bina Station.
Furthermore, the railway administration has adjusted the originating or destination stations for eight other passenger trains. These modifications are necessary to facilitate the complex yard remodeling required for the new third line.
