Budaun Railway Update: Underpass construction begins near platform to ease traffic congestion
Construction work for a new railway underpass has started near the railway platform in Ujhani, Budaun. The project received approval from the Gorakhpur headquarters to solve long-standing traffic issues in the area. Excavation for the underpass began three days ago to provide a smoother commute for local residents and commuters.

Where will the underpass be built and how will it help
The proposed underpass will be constructed near the rack point. It will open in a Y-shape on both sides via the roundabout. Once this project is completed, the Adhauli Phatak will be closed, which will permanently end the heavy traffic jams that have plagued the region since the Broadgauge line arrived between Bareilly and Kasganj in August 2021.
What did the officials say about the project
Commercial Superintendent K.P. Singh stated that this underpass will serve as a convenient route for vehicles traveling between the rack point and the Kadar Chowk road. The project is being managed by the railway administration in coordination with the Gorakhpur headquarters to ensure a faster and safer transit for the public.
