CCSU Meerut Relief? MP Demands Extended Hours for Railway Reservation Counter
A major push is being made to improve railway accessibility for the academic community in Meerut. Rajya Sabha MP and BJP National Vice President, Dr. Laxmikant Bajpai, has officially requested the Union Railway Minister to address the limited service hours at the Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) campus reservation counter.
The Current Limitation
At present, the reservation facility at the CCSU campus operates on a very restricted schedule. The counter typically closes by 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM, depending on internal scheduling, and it remains completely closed on Sundays. This leaves many travelers struggling to make timely bookings.
The Proposed Solution
In a formal letter addressed to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Dr. Bajpai has advocated for the operational hours to be extended until 4:00 PM. This change aims to provide much-needed flexibility for those who rely on this specific counter for their travel needs.
Dr. Bajpai noted that the existing restrictive schedule causes significant inconvenience to students, faculty members, university staff, and their families who rely on the counter for their travel arrangements.
