Central Railway Festive Drive: Strict ID Rules & Higher Fines

Central Railway is set to intensify its Central Railway ticket checking operations across its entire network during the upcoming festive season. From October 1 to October 31, 2026, a massive drive will be conducted to ensure smooth travel and prevent the misuse of reserved facilities.

Mandatory Original ID Proof Required

According to Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Central Railway, the campaign is specifically designed to curb revenue leakage and prevent the unauthorized use of reserved travel quotas. Passengers traveling under concessions, specific quotas, or passes must be prepared to present their original identity documents.
