Commuters should prepare for a significant Charkhi Dadri gate closure as the Rohtak Road railway crossing, identified as Level Crossing Gate Number 35, undergoes essential maintenance and overhauling. Maintenance Schedule and Daily Timing
The maintenance work is slated to take place from October 17 to October 19, 2026. To facilitate the overhauling process, the gate will remain closed every day during the following window:

The Senior Section Engineer (Permanent Way) office of the Bikaner Division, under the North Western Railway, has officially notified the Charkhi Dadri District Deputy Commissioner regarding the closure. The authorities have requested local cooperation to ensure effective traffic management while the tracks and gates are being serviced.

To minimize congestion and avoid being stuck in traffic, motorists are strongly advised to avoid the Rohtak Road crossing during the maintenance hours. Instead, please utilize these alternative routes:
- Level Crossing Gate Number 34
- The nearby Railway Overbridge (ROB)
- The Rawaldhi Bypass
Local administrative bodies, including the municipal council, the local bus depot, and the traffic police, have been informed to help facilitate these necessary traffic adjustments.
Ongoing Infrastructure and Traffic Challenges
This upcoming closure adds to the existing logistical challenges in the Charkhi Dadri region. Since October 14, 2026, bus traffic at the Rohtak Road crossing has already been restricted due to the construction of a new Railway Overbridge (ROB), a situation that has impacted the routes of more than 70 buses.
Furthermore, commuters in the Gandhi Nagar area will face continued delays at the railway underpass (RUB Number 20B). Although repairs were initially expected to be completed by 6:00 AM on October 16, 2026, the reopening of this underpass has been delayed by an additional two days.
