The North Eastern Railway has achieved a major infrastructure milestone as train operations officially commenced on the newly constructed third railway line connecting Chaukaghat and Burhwal. This expansion is set to transform rail movement within the Lucknow Division, providing much-needed relief to the existing network.
Successful Safety Trials and High-Speed Testing
Before receiving the final 'green signal,' the new corridor underwent a series of rigorous safety inspections. The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) conducted mandatory trials to ensure the infrastructure could handle high-speed operations with complete integrity. During these critical tests, trains reached speeds of up to 130 km/h on various segments of the track.

- Enhancing Capacity: Allowing for more frequent train movements and better resource utilization.
- Improving Efficiency: Streamlining the flow of both passenger and freight traffic across the region.

With the commencement of regular services, the North Eastern Railway has emphasized the importance of public safety. To prevent accidents during high-speed transit, officials have issued a stern advisory to the local community.
The administration urges residents to exercise extreme caution when near the tracks and requests that livestock be kept well away from the rail corridors to ensure the safety of both the public and the train operations.
