North Eastern Railway operates weekly festival special train between Chhapra and Anand Vihar

North Eastern Railway has announced the operation of a weekly festival special train between Chhapra and Anand Vihar Terminal to clear passenger rush during the upcoming festive season. This special service aims to provide smooth and convenient travel for passengers commuting between Bihar and the national capital region during the festivals. The special train will operate for a total of eight trips in both directions with modern LHB rakes ensuring enhanced passenger comfort and safety.

Train Schedule and Timings
Train number 05085 Chhapra to Anand Vihar Terminal special train will run every Tuesday from 06 October to 24 November 2026. It will depart from Chhapra at 01.05 PM and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 09.40 AM the next day. On its return journey, train number 05086 Anand Vihar Terminal to Chhapra special train will operate every Wednesday from 07 October to 25 November 2026. It will depart from Anand Vihar at 10.50 AM and arrive at Chhapra at 07.00 AM the following morning.

Route and Coach Composition
En route, the train will traverse through important stations in both directions including Mashrakh, Thawe, Padrauna, Gorakhpur, Basti, Gonda, Sitapur, Bareilly, Moradabad, and Ghaziabad. For the convenience of travellers, this special train will consist of 22 modern LHB coaches comprising one AC first-cum-second class, two AC second class, six AC third class, two AC third economy class, five sleeper class, four general second class, and two SLR or generator car coaches. Railway administration expects this dedicated festival special service to offer significant relief to pilgrims and regular passengers travelling towards Delhi and NCR during the festive rush.
