Students of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) are set to benefit from the much-awaited CSJMU student rail concession, which offers a massive 50% discount on railway fares. This significant initiative, aimed at easing the financial burden on the student community, has been brought back after a long gap of 19 years.
A Major Relief After 19 Years
The reinstatement of this facility was spearheaded by Vice-Chancellor Professor Vinay Kumar Pathak to support students in their academic and personal journeys. The proposal has officially received approval from the Prayagraj Railway Division, ensuring that the benefit is implemented for the student population.
This move is expected to provide much-needed relief to more than 3,000 students, including those studying at the Chandra Shekhar Azad (CSA) University of Agriculture and Technology. Since many students travel from outside Uttar Pradesh, this discount will significantly reduce their travel expenses.
