Indian Railways has significantly bolstered the connectivity between the National Capital Region and the central Indian hub of Madhya Pradesh. As of October 7, 2026, a massive fleet of 52 daily train services is operating on the Delhi to Bhopal route, providing passengers with unmatched flexibility and travel options.

Detailed Breakdown of Delhi-Bhopal Connectivity

The rail network ensures that travelers can depart from various major hubs in Delhi to reach Bhopal Junction (BPL) with ease. The current distribution of these services is as follows:

  • New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS): 24 trains depart daily.
  • Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station (NZM): 28 trains depart daily.

In addition to these primary connections to Bhopal Junction, the rail infrastructure also supports 19 daily train services at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station (RKMP), further strengthening the link between the capital and central India.

New Festive Special: Hazrat Nizamuddin-Khadki Service

To accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the current festive season, Indian Railways has introduced a new long-distance option. The Hazrat Nizamuddin-Khadki Special Train has been launched to provide extensive coverage across the country.

This special service is set to traverse six different states, serving as a critical transit link through:

  • Delhi
  • Uttar Pradesh
  • Madhya Pradesh
  • Rajasthan
  • Gujarat
  • Maharashtra

The train will stop at 18 stations, including major transit points such as Mathura, Kota, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Palghar, and Lonavala. This expansion of services aims to ease the travel burden for commuters during the busy holiday period.
