Indian Railways operates special unreserved train services between Delhi Sarai Rohilla and Reengas to clear heavy passenger traffic during Raksha Bandhan and Janmashtami. The North Western Railway and Northern Railway jointly managed this initiative to help travellers from Delhi, Haryana, and the Shekhawati region move comfortably during the festive season. Train No. 04415 and Train No. 04416 successfully served passengers with a high-capacity rake of 13 coaches, including 11 general class coaches and 2 guard coaches. These special services ensured smooth journeys for commuters amid massive festive crowds.
The special service was operated for
two trips in each direction to manage the heavy rush.
Train No. 04415 from Delhi Sarai Rohilla departed at 7:10 PM and reached Reengas at
12:40 AM the next day, operating on
August 27 and 28, 2026. In the return direction,
Train No. 04416 departed Reengas at 2:00 AM and arrived at Delhi Sarai Rohilla at
6:30 AM on
August 28 and 29, 2026. These well-planned timings helped local travellers plan their festive trips without facing accommodation issues in regular trains.
To maximize accessibility for daily commuters and pilgrims, the unreserved special trains stopped at multiple crucial stations in both directions. The scheduled halts included
Delhi Cantt, Gurugram, Pataudi Road, Rewari, Narnaul, and Neemka Thana. According to North Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer
Amit Sudarshan, the decision to run these unreserved trains was taken specifically to prioritize passenger convenience and manage the surge in seasonal travel demand efficiently.
