Delhi Chaos: 21+ Trains Cancelled & Metro Restrictions on Oct 10

Delhi is bracing for massive transportation disruptions on October 10, 2026, as authorities prepare for a large-scale protest by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar. To ensure passenger safety and manage the high-alert situation, Indian Railways and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) have announced significant service changes and restrictions.
Major Train Cancellations and Impacted Routes
Indian Railways has proactively cancelled more than 21 Mail/Express trains. These cancellations primarily affect services originating from several states, including Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. The measure is intended to prevent passengers from being caught in the middle of the anticipated disruptions.
The cancellation policy specifically targets trains that depart their source stations after 2:00 PM on October 9 and are scheduled to arrive at New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin stations between 4:00 AM and 2:00 PM on October 10. Notable affected services include:
- 12877 Ranchi–New Delhi Garib Rath Express
