Dhaulpur-Garhi Sandhara Line: 121 km/h Speed Trial Set for Oct 31
A high-speed trial run of 121 km/h is scheduled for the Dhaulpur-Garhi Sandhara line on October 31, 2026.

The Dhaulpur-Garhi Sandhara rail line is gearing up for a major milestone as it nears operational readiness. On October 31, 2026, the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) will conduct a mandatory statutory inspection to evaluate the line's integrity and safety protocols.
To test the capacity of the newly laid tracks, a special train will perform a high-speed trial run, reaching velocities of up to 121 km/h during the assessment.
Strict Safety Advisory for the Public
With high-speed movements imminent, railway authorities have issued a stern warning to ensure public safety. To prevent any accidents, officials have urged the following:
- Stay Clear of Tracks: Pedestrians, drivers, and local residents must remain well away from the railway lines during the trial period.
- Avoid Unauthorized Entry: Entering the railway premises or approaching the lines without permission is strictly prohibited.
- Use Designated Crossings: The public is advised to exclusively use authorized level crossings and limited-height subways for any movement across the tracks.
Infrastructure and Project Progress
Work on the line is currently in its final stages to ensure seamless connectivity and passenger safety. Specifically, the construction of limited-height subways near Jerauli and the Police Line level crossing is nearing completion. Once these are fully operational, they will provide safe, authorized passage for the local population to cross the rail line.
This section is a critical component of the ambitious 72-kilometer Dhaulpur-Sarmathura rail project. Key details of the broader project include:
- Station Network: The project features the development of 10 brand-new stations.
- Target Completion: The entire rail link is slated for completion by June 2027.
- Ongoing Preparations: Current activities include earth filling and finishing work behind new platforms to facilitate the upcoming safety audit.
