Diwali & Chhath Puja Relief: New Delhi-Danapur Special Trains Announced!
Indian Railways is stepping up to manage the massive passenger rush expected during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festivities. To ensure smoother travel for commuters, a new special train service has been introduced connecting New Delhi and Danapur.
Route Details and Key Stops
The new service is designed to accommodate the heavy demand for travel during the festive season. The train will follow a route that includes several important stops:
- Govindpuri (Kanpur)
- Prayagraj
- Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction
- Buxar
- Ara
Extended Festive Services
This new addition works in tandem with existing festive infrastructure. To provide even more options, the railway has extended the operations of two existing special trains:
- Train 04090 (New Delhi-Danapur): Operations have been extended until November 20, 2026.
- Train 04089 (Danapur-New Delhi): Operations have been extended until November 2
