12,000+ Diwali Chhath Special Trains Announced for 2026!

Indian Railways is set to provide massive relief to travelers with the announcement of over 12,000 Diwali Chhath special trains for the upcoming 2026 festive season. This significant increase in capacity aims to manage the heavy passenger demand expected during the celebrations of Diwali and Chhath Puja.

This year's festive arrangement is much larger than previous ones. While 7,724 special trains were operated during the same period last year, the upcoming schedule features a substantial jump to over 12,000 services. These trains will operate throughout a 61-day festive window, spanning from October 1 to November 30, 2026.
