Key ongoing developments include the redevelopment of Ranchi Railway Station, where over 90% of the south side construction is complete, aiming for a December 2026 terminal opening with a total project cost of approximately 443 crore rupees. Meanwhile, Chandigarh Railway Station has entered a 36-day traffic and power block from September 10 to October 15, resulting in the cancellation of 12 trains to facilitate the installation of foot overbridges and infrastructure removal. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the Kishanganj and Thakurganj railway stations have reached 70% completion, with expected finalization by early 2027. Kishanganj is undergoing a 42-crore rupee upgrade, while Thakurganj is receiving an investment of 27.80 crore rupees.
