To manage the massive passenger surge during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals, Indian Railways has announced a Durg to Delhi special train. This one-way service, identified as Train No. 08795, is specifically designed to assist travelers struggling to secure confirmed berths during the festive season.
The decision to introduce this special service comes after reports of significant congestion on regular routes, where waiting lists have been reaching 80 to 90 passengers or more.
Route and Key Station Stops
The special train will follow a route that connects several important stations on its way to the capital. The journey details are as follows:
- Primary Route: The train will travel via Usalapur, Shahdol, Katni Murwara, and Sagar.
- Jhansi Arrival: The service is scheduled to arrive at Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi station at 1:30 AM on November 3.
- Gwalior Halt: Following a five-minute halt at Jhansi, the train will reach Gwalior at 2:34 AM, where it will observe a two-minute scheduled stop.
- Final Leg: The journey will continue toward Delhi via Agra Cantt and Mathura.
