East Central Railway extends Darbhanga New Delhi special train services

The Samastipur Division of the East Central Railway has officially announced the extension of the Darbhanga-New Delhi-Darbhanga special train service to effectively accommodate heavy passenger demand during both upcoming festive seasons and regular travel periods. Backed by official notifications from the North Eastern Railway, this major decision aims to provide much-needed additional berth capacity and significantly alleviate long waiting lists for daily commuters travelling on this busy route.

Train No. 02569 Darbhanga-New Delhi Special will continue operations until November 30, 2026. Similarly, the return service, Train No. 02570 New Delhi-Darbhanga Special, will remain operational until December 1, 2026. In total, this comprehensive extension covers an impressive 88 additional trips for the convenience of passengers.

Train Schedule and Coach Composition

Railway officials have confirmed that these extended special services will strictly maintain their previously established routes, standard schedules, designated stoppages, and coach compositions. To ensure comfortable travel, each train will feature a total of 18 coaches. This configuration specifically includes one generator-cum-luggage van, one LSLRD coach, four sleeper class coaches, five AC 3-tier economy class coaches, and seven standard AC 3-tier class coaches.
