Construction is set for level crossing number 95 'B' between Madhepura and Baijnathpur stations on the Saharsa-Purnia Court rail section. The project falls under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan to boost safety and development. Multiple four-hour and three-hour blocks are scheduled throughout September 2026. Train services like the Saharsa-Purnia Passenger and Janaki Express will experience scheduled delays or regulations.
To facilitate girder launching and crucial technical work safely, the railway administration has scheduled a series of traffic and power blocks. These blocks will commence daily after the passage of
train number 75261 Saharsa-Purnia Court Passenger. Passengers must plan their journeys keeping these timings in mind. Four-hour blocks will be strictly in effect from
08:20 AM to 12:20 PM on
September 12, 13, 15, 17, 20, and 27, 2026. Additionally, a shorter three-hour block is scheduled for
September 26, 2026, from
08:20 AM to 11:20 AM.
Naturally, heavy engineering works of this scale will temporarily impact regular train operations on the route. Several passenger and freight services are subject to regulation, rescheduling, or short-term controls during the notified block periods. Specifically,
train number 55570 Saharsa-Purnia Passenger will be delayed by 90 minutes on
September 12, 13, 15, 17, 20, and 27. Furthermore, this same service will be
regulated for 40 minutes between Saharsa and Baijnathpur on September 26. Operations for other prominent services, including the
Janaki Express, the
