Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria
The application process officially commenced on August 26 2026 at 500 PM and will remain active until September 15 2026 at 500 PM. Interested individuals must be between 15 and 24 years of age as of September 15 2026. However standard age relaxations apply as per government rules. Applicants belonging to the SC and ST categories receive a five-year age relaxation while OBC non-creamy layer candidates get three years. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are granted a ten-year relaxation alongside benefits for ex-servicemen.
Educational requirements mandate that candidates must have completed their matriculation with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks along with an ITI certificate in a relevant trade affiliated with NCVT or SCVT.
Application Fee and Stipend Details
An application fee of Rs 100 is applicable for general and male candidates which can be paid online via debit cards credit cards UPI or internet banking. However female applicants and candidates belonging to SC ST and PwBD categories are completely exempted from paying this fee.
Selected candidates will be designated as apprentices and will receive a monthly stipend determined by official Railway Board guidelines. The administration has clearly stated that no hostel accommodation will be provided during the training period requiring successful candidates to manage their own lodging. Applicants are also advised to choose their preferred division or workshop carefully during registration as this selection will remain final.
