Eastern Railway Public Relations Officer (PRO) Shibram Majhi confirmed the schedule, highlighting that the Malda Railway Division has contributed significantly to this initiative by proposing the operation of 18 pairs of special trains. These are seamlessly integrated into the broader mega-plan encompassing the 37 pairs of special trains. Passengers can book tickets across a range of travel options, including General Second Class, Sleeper Class, and Air-Conditioned (AC) coaches.
Specific routes include vital connections originating from Howrah, Sealdah, and Kolkata to key high-demand destinations such as Raxaul, Patna, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, and Gorakhpur. Notably, the Howrah-Raxaul Puja Special (03041) is scheduled to run from October 15 to November 26, 2026. Furthermore, the network is extending much-needed connectivity to North Bengal and Assam, featuring specific services such as the Kolkata to New Jalpaiguri and Howrah to Lumding routes.
