Special Trains & Buses for UPSSSC PET Exam in Etawah
North Central Railways and UP Roadways announce special trains and extra buses to assist 10,000 candidates for the UPSSSC PET exam in Etawah.

To ensure a smooth experience for the upcoming UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET), authorities in Etawah have finalized a massive transportation and logistics plan. The examination, scheduled for October 30 and November 1, 2026, is expected to see approximately 10,000 candidates per shift appearing across 22 designated centers in the district.
North Central Railways to Run Special Trains
To manage the heavy influx of examinees and prevent overcrowding, North Central Railways will operate four special unreserved trains between October 29 and November 1, 2026. These services are strategically planned to connect key regions to the exam hubs.
- Kanpur Central to Mathura Junction
- Prayagraj to Mainpuri
- Aligarh to Kanpur Central
- Firozabad to Kanpur Central
Prayagraj Rail Division Public Relations Officer Amit Kumar Singh noted that these special services are specifically aimed at alleviating travel congestion. To ensure safety and order, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) Deepak Raj confirmed that both GRP and RPF personnel, along with additional staff, have been deployed at Etawah Junction. Candidates are strongly advised to verify their train timings and schedules before departure.
Enhanced Roadways and Security Measures
In addition to railway services, the Uttar Pradesh Roadways Transport Corporation is boosting its fleet to assist students. Assistant Regional Manager (ARM) Mayank Kumar Singh announced that 10 additional buses will be deployed, with five more held in reserve to handle any unexpected demand. To prioritize the needs of students, long-route bus schedules have been adjusted to facilitate more frequent, shorter routes.
The district administration, led by the District Magistrate, has also implemented rigorous security and support protocols to ensure a fair examination process:
- Surveillance: All 22 examination centers will be under full CCTV monitoring.
- Supervision: Static and sector magistrates have been deployed to oversee the centers.
- Candidate Support: Help desks have been established at major transport hubs to assist travelers.
- Accommodation: Coordination with local shelters and private guest houses is underway to provide overnight stay options for outstation candidates.
