Extra Coaches in Trains: Lalgadh & Udaipur Express
North Western Railway is adding extra coaches in trains for the Lalgadh-Delhi Sarai and Udaipur City Express to manage the festive rush.
To manage the heavy influx of passengers during the festive season, the North Western Railway is adding extra coaches in trains to two key services. This decision is expected to provide significant relief to commuters traveling through Rewari, Narnaul, Gurugram, and various districts in Rajasthan by increasing seat availability.
Lalgadh-Delhi Sarai Express Updates
Amit Sudarshan, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of North Western Railway, stated that the additional coaches will be attached temporarily to accommodate the seasonal surge in passenger numbers. The details for the first pair of trains are as follows:
- Train No. 22471/22472 (Lalgadh-Delhi Sarai-Lalgadh Express): An additional general class coach will be attached from Lalgadh starting from November 10 until November 30. Similarly, the extra coach will be available from Delhi Sarai during this same period.
Delhi Sarai-Udaipur City Express Updates
The railway is also enhancing the capacity of the Delhi Sarai-Udaipur City service to help travelers during the holidays:
- Train No. 20473/20474 (Delhi Sarai-Udaipur City-Delhi Sarai Express): An extra general class coach will be added from Delhi Sarai from November 10 to November 30.
- From the Udaipur City side, the extra coach will be available for passengers from November 11 until December 1.
Relief for Festive Travelers
This strategic move by the North Western Railway is specifically aimed at controlling overcrowding in general compartments. By providing more seats, the railway hopes to ensure a smoother journey for passengers traveling between Delhi, Rewari, Narnaul, and several major cities across Rajasthan during this busy period.
