Massive Scale: Thousands of Trips Scheduled
The special operations are designed to cover a 61-day festive window, running from October 1 to November 30, 2026. The scale of the deployment is significant across different zones:
- North Central Railway (NCR): Has confirmed 1,053 'Trains on Demand' (TOD) trips.
- Northern Railway: Is coordinating approximately 3,000 trips, with nearly 1,987 journeys already scheduled through various service announcements and additional zone contributions.
Key Routes and Special Train Highlights
The special services will prioritize major travel hubs, including Ajmer, Prayagraj, Katra, Mumbai, and Amritsar. For passengers looking for specific long-distance connectivity, the following services have been highlighted:
- Kanpur Central to SMVT Bengaluru (04131/04132): Scheduled to run from October 4 to November 18, 2026.
- Kanpur Central to Madurai (01925): Operating from September 2 through November 25, 2026.
New Amrit Bharat Express Services
In addition to the festive special trains, four new Amrit Bharat Express routes are slated for introduction to bolster connectivity:
- Gaya to Delhi
- Saharsa to Amritsar
- Chhapra to Delhi
- Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad
