Enhanced Safety and Crowd Management
To ensure passenger safety and maintain order at busy transit hubs, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed that AI-enabled surveillance systems have been deployed. At the New Delhi Railway Station, more than 700 such cameras are currently operational to monitor crowd movement.
In addition to high-tech surveillance, the railways have established designated holding areas for both reserved and unreserved passengers to prevent overcrowding on platforms and ensure a more organized boarding process.
Passengers are advised to verify real-time schedules and train availability via the official IRCTC website or by dialing the railway helpline number 139 before commencing their journey.
