Ghooghardiha Station: Commuters Demand Urgent Foot Overbridge

Commuters and local business owners at Ghooghardiha railway station in Madhubani are raising their voices for better safety. A formal request has been submitted to the General Manager demanding a Ghooghardiha station foot overbridge to eliminate the life-threatening risks faced by passengers daily.

Safety Risks on Jhanjharpur-Nirmali Route

The demand highlights critical safety concerns on the Jhanjharpur-Nirmali rail route. With five pairs of trains operating daily, the station has become a high-risk zone for travelers. Currently, passengers are forced to traverse the railway tracks to navigate the station, a practice that creates a persistent danger of accidents.

To address these grievances, the Mithilanchal Sangharsh Samiti organized a sit-in protest at the station on September 27, 2026.
