The transformation of Hapur Railway Station is moving at a rapid pace. Under the central government's ambitious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the construction of a massive 12-meter wide foot over bridge (FOB) is in its final stages, with officials aiming to complete the project before the new year begins.

This significant infrastructure upgrade is being funded through Plan Head-53, which is dedicated to enhancing customer amenities. The project is designed to modernize the station's facilities and significantly improve how passengers navigate the platforms.

The development of the FOB has been carried out in strategic phases. Currently, the girders have been successfully installed from the outer edge of the station to platform number four. The final phase of construction, which spans from platform five to the opposite end of the station, is now underway. To ensure the work stays on schedule, essential construction materials have been brought in from Lucknow.

In addition to the main bridge structure, work on the staircases has also been accelerated to ensure the bridge is ready for use as soon as possible.

Safety and Future-Ready Amenities

The entire project is being closely supervised by Moradabad Divisional Manager Vineeta Srivastava and Station Superintendent Ramkesh Meena. Officials have confirmed that all construction activities are being conducted under stringent safety protocols to protect both workers and passengers.

Once the primary structure of the bridge is finished, the authorities plan to install several modern amenities to make the station more accessible. These include:

  • Automatic Escalators: To facilitate smooth and quick movement between platforms.
  • Lifts: Specifically installed to assist elderly passengers and the specially-abled in navigating the station with ease.

The benefits of this new foot over bridge extend far beyond the railway passengers. It is expected to become a crucial pedestrian connection for thousands of residents living in the surrounding areas. By providing a safe and dedicated path across the railway tracks, the bridge will serve as a lifeline for people in:

  • Awas Vikas Colony
  • Mithilesh Vihar
  • Advocate Colony
  • Gandhi Vihar
