Commuters and motorists traveling through the Hardoi region must prepare for significant travel diversions. Railway authorities have announced an extension to the closure of two key railway gates to facilitate essential track maintenance and repair work.
The maintenance work is being carried out between the Hardoi-Kaudha and Balamau-Baghauli stations. Senior Section Engineer Pawan Sharma confirmed the updated schedule, noting that these closures are vital for infrastructure safety.
Balwar Gate Closure and Alternative Paths
The Balwar Gate (Level Crossing No. 283-C), located in the vicinity of Kaudha station, will be completely closed to all road traffic. The closure period is scheduled as follows:
- From: 7:00 AM on October 28
- Until: 6:00 PM on October 30
To avoid being stranded, drivers are advised to use the following alternative routes located to the west of Kaudha station:
- The Service Gate (Level Crossing No. 284-C)
- The Lalapurwa Gate (Level Crossing No. 285-C)
Purva Gate Closure: Longer Maintenance Period
A second, more extended closure will affect the Purva Gate (Level Crossing No. 261-C), situated between the Balamau and Baghauli stations. This gate will remain shut for several days:
- From: 7:00 AM on October 28
- Until: 6:00 PM on November 2
Motorists traveling through this specific stretch are directed to utilize the Paharpur Gate (Level Crossing No. 262-C), located in the western direction, to bypass the closure.
Railway officials have requested the public's full cooperation with these traffic arrangements to ensure that the necessary track improvements are completed safely and without further delay.
