This decision follows an official press release issued on September 9, 2026, by Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay after receiving approval from the Ministry of Railways on an experimental basis. Regular commuters and local travellers can now easily board and deboard this service at Sakauti Tanda station. The 14303 Delhi-Haridwar Express arrives at Sakauti Tanda at 7:46 p.m. and departs at 7:47 p.m. The 14304 Haridwar-Delhi Express arrives at the station at 12:15 p.m. and departs at 12:16 p.m.
Passengers planning to use this service need to note the precise timings to avoid missing their boarding window.
Under the revised schedule, the 14303 Delhi-Haridwar Express reaches Sakauti Tanda station at 7:46 p.m. and resumes its journey at 7:47 p.m. On the return trip,
the 14304 Haridwar-Delhi Express arrives at 12:15 p.m. and leaves the station at 12:16 p.m. These brief one-minute halts are designed to ensure smooth passenger boarding without causing any disruption to the overall punctuality of the train.
This new railway connectivity is the result of continuous local efforts.
The decision came after persistent advocacy by Pandit Sunil Bharala, former chairman of the Labour Welfare Council, who raised the matter multiple times with the Railway Minister and senior railway officials. Pandit Bharala termed this new stop as the successful outcome of years of public demand. The inaugural stop at the station was celebrated with a special flag-off ceremony led by Pandit Sunil Bharala and Mahamandaleshwar Shiv Premanand of Nangli Tirth.
The introduction of this experimental halt is set to bring immense relief to different sections of society in the region.
The new connectivity will significantly benefit thousands of local commuters, including students, traders, and devotees visiting Nangli Tirth, by providing direct and hassle-free access to major destinations like Delhi and Haridwar. Additionally,
the move is expected to directly assist over 1,500 Monthly Season Ticket holders who frequently travel through this route for work and education.
