Howrah Natesar Special train adds a new stoppage at Kahalgaon station
Indian Railways introduces a two-minute stop at Kahalgaon station for the Howrah-Natesar Special train to help passengers in the Bhagalpur region. Passengers travelling on this route can now board and deboard at Kahalgaon starting from August 26, 2026. Eastern Railway operates this special service to manage heavy passenger rush and meet local demands for better connectivity.
Effective August 26, the Howrah-Natesar Special train will make a two-minute halt at Kahalgaon station.
The train service operates between August 10, 2026, and February 9, 2027, covering 79 trips in each direction.
Train number 03029 leaves Howrah at 10:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, reaching Natesar at 1:00 PM the next day.
Train number 03030 leaves Natesar at 1:55 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, reaching Howrah at 7:00 AM the next day.
Schedule and Route Details
Passengers who regularly travel through the Bhagalpur district have long requested better train connectivity at Kahalgaon. Addressing this public demand, Eastern Railway has updated the schedule for train numbers 03029 and 03030. Along with the newly added Kahalgaon halt, the special train continues to serve its regular stops including Bandel, Bardhaman, Bolpur Shantiniketan, Rampurhat, Pakur, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, and Abhaipur.
This extended operational schedule running until February next year ensures that commuters have reliable transport options during the upcoming festive and winter seasons. Railway authorities advise passengers to check updated timings before planning their journeys.
