20 Trains Rescheduled at Idgah Agra Junction
Indian Railways reschedules 20 trains at Idgah Agra Junction following its redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme to boost efficiency.

Indian Railways has announced a major scheduling overhaul for 20 trains passing through Idgah Agra Junction. This strategic move is designed to optimize operational efficiency and provide much-needed relief to both daily commuters and the local trading community.
A New Era for Idgah Station
The rescheduling follows the massive transformation of Idgah station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Since its modernization was completed in July 2026, the station has emerged as Agra’s second-largest railway hub, trailing only behind Agra Cantt. Authorities are now leveraging this enhanced infrastructure to better manage the increasing transit demands within the North Western Railway zone.
Wider Network Updates and Special Services
The changes at Idgah are part of a broader network-wide update. Northern Railway has implemented new timings and route adjustments for 45 trains, which will be effective from October 28, 2026, and remain valid through January 2027.
To manage seasonal passenger surges, Western Railway has also extended the services of the Bandra Terminus–Gorakhpur special trains (09083/09084), both of which include halts at Idgah station:
- Train 09083: Will operate on Sundays until November 8, 2026.
- Train 09084: Will operate on Mondays until November 9, 2026.
Jaipur–Santragachi Express Timetable Changes
Passengers traveling on the Jaipur–Santragachi Express (18061/18062), which also serves Idgah, should take note of the updated schedule:
- Train 18061: Departs Santragachi every Wednesday at 2:15 p.m., arriving at Khatipura at 11:00 p.m. the following day.
- Train 18062: Departs Khatipura every Friday at 9:15 a.m., reaching Santragachi at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The TAG 2026 Initiative
These revisions are integral components of the 'Timetable of Trains (TAG) 2026' initiative. This ambitious program has already prioritized the rescheduling of over 80 trains and the acceleration of 549 services across the country to significantly bolster punctuality and service reliability for millions of passengers.
