Indian Railways extends Ghaziabad Tundla EMU service to Agra City
In a major boost for daily commuters and traders, Indian Railways has officially extended the Ghaziabad-Tundla Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) service to Agra City. This connectivity upgrade, which comes into effect on July 15, 2026, is designed to streamline travel for thousands of passengers residing in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Hathras, Tundla, and now Agra.

- The route distance has increased from 184.02 km to 206.66 km.
- New intermediate stops include Itoura, Chamraula, and Jalesar Road.

Enhanced Connectivity for Agra Bound Passengers
According to Amit Kumar Singh, Public Relations Officer for North Central Railway, this decision is a strategic move to improve operational efficiency and passenger convenience. By extending the route of EMU trains 64167 and 64168, the railway is addressing the long-standing demand for better suburban connectivity between the National Capital Region and Agra.
Updated Train Schedules
For those planning their travel, Train number 64167 departs from Ghaziabad at 6:10 AM. It reaches Aligarh at 8:25 AM for a five-minute halt, arrives at Tundla at 11:25 AM, and completes its journey at Agra City at 12:45 PM.
For the return leg, Train number 64168 is scheduled to depart from Agra City at 2:20 PM, providing a convenient afternoon connection for passengers heading back towards Tundla, Aligarh, and Ghaziabad, with an expected arrival time in Ghaziabad at 7:50 PM. This extension is expected to significantly reduce travel stress for regular passengers who previously had to switch modes of transport at Tundla.
