Indian Railways extends Udaipur City Rishikesh special train service

Indian Railways has decided to extend the operation of the Udaipur City to Yog Nagari Rishikesh weekly special train to help passengers travel easily during the upcoming festival season. This seasonal extension will add six more trips for both directions to manage the heavy rush of travelers.

Train numbers 09609 and 09610 will continue to serve passengers with their regular schedules. According to Amit Sudarshan, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, the extended service from Udaipur City will run weekly from October 20, 2026, to November 24, 2026. On the return journey, the train from Yog Nagari Rishikesh will operate from October 21, 2026, to November 25, 2026.

Important Travel Details and Route Information

Railway authorities have confirmed that all existing rules regarding scheduled timings, the overall route, and intermediate stoppages, including the important halt at Bandikui station, will remain completely unchanged. Passengers can book their tickets through IRCTC or at reservation counters following the standard ticketing procedures.
