RailOne App: Indian Railways launches all-in-one platform for tickets, tracking and food services
The Ministry of Railways has introduced the RailOne app to simplify travel for passengers. Launched by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, this app combines several railway services into one single platform. It is developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) in collaboration with IRCTC to remove the need for using multiple applications during a journey.

The RailOne app acts as a comprehensive tool for passengers. It allows users to book reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets. Passengers can also track live train locations, check PNR status, and find their coach position. For comfort and safety, the app integrates e-catering for food delivery and provides direct access to Rail Madad and Dial 139 for medical or security help.
How does RailOne improve the passenger experience?
The app uses a single-sign-on facility, meaning users can log in using their old RailConnect or UTSonMobile credentials. It also includes an R-Wallet that gives a 3% discount on unreserved tickets. To help passengers with waiting lists, the app uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to predict the chances of ticket confirmation. The service is available in multiple Indian languages on both Android and iOS stores.
