Regional Progress Across the Country

In Bihar, construction at the Manman railway crossing in Barsoi is moving forward to reduce traffic congestion on the Katihar-Balrampur route, with heavy vehicle restrictions set for September 4. Meanwhile, work on the Rani Bagh ROB in Simri Bakhtiyarpur has officially resumed with the successful installation of steel girders. However, local challenges remain, as the Central Railway Passenger Association recently protested the delay of a 171 crore rupee project connecting the three-number bus stand to Nawada Sadar Hospital. Additionally, a major four-day mega block was recently executed at Gaya Junction to demolish an old foot overbridge and clear space for modern infrastructure.
Upgrades in NCR and Other States
In the National Capital Region, the Palla Railway Over Bridge near Bodaki is undergoing a major upgrade from a four-lane to a six-lane structure at a cost of 194 crore rupees to significantly improve connectivity to the Multimodal Transport Hub. In Baghpat, Member of Parliament Dr. Rajkumar Sangwan has confirmed that the Tatiri Overbridge is officially scheduled to open for public use on September 30.
Other notable railway developments include a newly sanctioned 139 crore rupee project for the Shastri Bridge (ROB 103-C) in Indore, a newly proposed project for the Chandwa-Tori ROB in Lohardaga following direct PMO intervention, and a feasibility study currently underway for a new crossing on the Defense Colony motor road in Dehradun.
