The summer special trains are scheduled to operate primarily from April to July 2026. Central Railway alone has planned 1,484 services to handle the crowd. Some of the key routes include connectivity between Mumbai, Gujarat, and Kolkata to various destinations in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Specific services like the Udhna-Jayanagar Unreserved Special will run via Gorakhpur to assist migrant workers and families returning home.

South Central Railway is also operating special trains towards Santragachi and Chennai to ease the travel rush from Andhra Pradesh.
