CPRO Saraswati Chandra stated that these services are designed to provide relief to passengers during the peak summer season.

What is the overall summer plan

This initiative is part of a larger national plan by Indian Railways. Across the country, over 18,200 special train trips will be operated until July 15, 2026. Out of these, the East Central Railway zone alone will manage 2,711 services to handle the increased passenger flow.
