What will change in the new IRCTC website?
The new website will focus on solving common problems that passengers face during ticket booking. It will address slow Tatkal booking speeds, the frustration of endless CAPTCHA checks, and the issue of failed transactions. Senior officials stated that the platform will be faster and more modern to improve the overall user experience.
How will the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) be upgraded?
Apart from the website, the Ministry of Railways is upgrading its 40-year-old PRS by August. This upgrade will significantly increase the system’s capacity to handle more users simultaneously.
