Ispat Express Delay: South Eastern Railway Fined ₹35,000 by Jharkhand Commission

The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Jharkhand has ordered the railway to pay ₹35,000 in compensation and litigation costs to a passenger following a major service failure.

The Incident: An 8-Hour Delay

The legal action was initiated by Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Adityapur, who had booked two tickets for travel from Tatanagar to Sambalpur on September
