Itarsi Train Alert: Major Diversions and Cancellations from Oct 14
Indian Railways has announced significant Itarsi train disruptions starting October 14, 2026, due to extensive infrastructure projects in the region. These operational changes, which include various route diversions and several train cancellations, are necessary to facilitate massive yard remodeling work at Bina and Agasod stations. Additionally, work is underway to connect a third railway line between the West Central Railway and North Central Railway zones, alongside construction efforts at Kasara station.
Major Train Diversions to Note
According to Railway Public Relations Officer Naval Agrawal, numerous services will face route changes throughout the month of October. Passengers should check their specific schedules carefully.
Diversions on October 14
- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Gorakhpur Express (12598) and Dadar-Ballia Express (11043): These trains will operate via the Kalyan-Karjat-Pune-Manmad route.
- Bhopal-Howrah Weekly Express (13026): This service will be diverted via Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni South, and New Katni Junction.
Recurring Diversions and Other Changes
- Bhopal-Dhanbad Tri-Weekly Express (11631/11632): Diverted via Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni South, and New Katni Junction on October 9, 12, and 15.
- Bhopal-Chopan Weekly Express (11633/11634): Will follow a similar diversion on October 11 and 12.
- Rewa-Rani Kamalapati Rewanchal Express (12185/12186): Running via Katni, Jabalpur, and Itarsi from October 8 to 14.
- Howrah-Bhopal Weekly Express (13025): Diverted via New Katni, Katni South, Jabalpur, and Itarsi on October 12.
- Bhopal-Jodhpur (14814/14813): Will run via Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Maksi, Nagda, and Kota during mid-October.
- Rewa-Dr Ambedkar Nagar Tri-Weekly Express (11703/11704): Will pass through Bina Malkhedi, Mahadevkhedi, Guna, Ruthiyai, and Maksi on selected dates.
