Jabalpur to Haridwar Train: New Weekly Service Proposed!

Travelers from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are in for a treat as West Central Railway has drafted a proposal for a new Jabalpur to Haridwar train service. This proposed weekly direct service aims to significantly improve connectivity for passengers traveling between these two major regions.
Proposed Route and Connectivity
The new weekly service is expected to provide much-needed direct access to several important stations. According to the proposal, the train would include stops at Satna, Chitrakoot Dham Karwi, Banda, Kanpur Central, Bareilly, and Moradabad. The project is currently under consideration and is awaiting final approval from the Railway Board.
Festive Special Trains for 2026
While the permanent weekly service awaits official sanction, Indian Railways is already preparing for the heavy passenger influx during the upcoming festive season. To accommodate travelers during Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath in 2026, special train services have been announced to bridge the gap.
Train Number 01703: Jabalpur to Haridwar
This special service will operate every Thursday from October 22, 2026, to November 19, 2026. The train is scheduled to depart Jabalpur at 3:30 PM and will arrive in Haridwar at 2:20 PM the following day, with a total travel time of approximately 22 hours and 50 minutes.
Train Number 01704: Haridwar to Jabalpur
The return service, Train Number 01704, will depart from Haridwar every Friday from October 23, 2026, to November 20, 2026. It is set to leave Haridwar at 3:10 PM and reach Jabalpur at 4:20 PM the next day.
