Jhansi New Delhi Express Disruption: Route Changes Ahead

The North Central Railway has announced a significant Jhansi New Delhi Express disruption due to essential infrastructure maintenance. Passengers traveling on the Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-New Delhi Express should plan their journeys carefully as routes will be altered.
Bridge Maintenance and Location
The upcoming changes are necessitated by critical steel girder replacement work on bridge number 1331/1. This bridge is situated between the Jajau and Bhandai stations. To ensure the safety and stability of the tracks, the maintenance work is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 2, 2026.
Impact on Train Schedules
During this three-day period, the following daily services will have their routes curtailed:
- Train No. 12279: Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-New Delhi Express
- Train No. 12280: New Delhi-Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Express
Both trains will not complete their full journeys. Instead, the services will terminate and originate at Agra Cantt station. This means that during the specified dates, the trains will not operate beyond Agra Cantt toward either Jhansi or New Delhi.
Railway authorities have confirmed that each service will experience a total of three affected trips throughout the duration of the repair project.
