Jodhpur DRM Anurag Tripathi Inspects Degana Station and Orders Gate Closure

Divisional Railway Manager of Jodhpur Anurag Tripathi conducted a formal inspection of Degana Railway Station on Saturday to evaluate ongoing construction works and assess essential passenger amenities. During the review the DRM examined the station cleanliness standards water availability and the condition of public facilities including bathrooms. Among the directives issued Tripathi ordered the closure of the station old entry gate within a 24-hour timeframe instructing the Inspector of Works to execute the task immediately. This inspection is part of a broader push to upgrade infrastructure and passenger facilities across the division.

This inspection follows a series of recent operational assessments overseen by DRM Tripathi across the Jodhpur Division. On September 3 2026 Tripathi visited Luni Junction to review passenger amenities and address commuter grievances directly. Additionally on August 21 2026 he dispatched a team led by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Karniram to inspect stations including Sambhar Lake Gudha and Nawa where officials were mandated to prioritize safety compliance particularly at level crossing gate number 2A and ensure the timely completion of all infrastructure development projects. Degana station has been a focal point for the division previously having been noted in March 2026 for rail under bridge construction activities.
