  • Road Under Bridge (RUB): The installation of a new RUB consisting of 17 precast boxes.
  • Foot Over Bridge (FOB): The successful launch of 17 girders for a new 12-meter-wide Foot Over Bridge.

Enhancing Safety and High-Speed Capabilities

These infrastructural upgrades are part of a broader strategy to enhance safety and facilitate higher train speeds. A major component of this initiative is the installation of metal beam crash barriers along the Jodhpur-Phulera, Jodhpur-Bhildi, and Barmer-Balotra sections.

The crash barrier project for the Jodhpur-Phulera segment is valued at ₹70.66 crore. These safety enhancements are designed to support train speeds of up to 130 km/h, which is essential for the efficient operation of premium services like the Vande Bharat Express.

Major Station Redevelopment and Recruitment News

The region is also witnessing massive investment in station infrastructure, highlighted by a ₹469.20 crore redevelopment project for the Jodhpur Railway Station.

In addition to physical infrastructure, the North Western Railway is expanding its workforce. The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has announced Notice No. 04/2026 for the engagement of 2,008 Act Apprentices. This includes 134 specific positions dedicated to the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) office in Jodhpur, with the application process set to begin on October 7, 2026.
