4 Trains Affected in Rajasthan: Jaisalmer-Sabarmati Diverted
Passengers traveling through the Jodhpur Division in Rajasthan should prepare for significant changes to their travel plans on October 23, 2026. The North Western Railway has announced that four train services will face disruptions due to essential infrastructure development work being carried out in the region.
Reason for the Disruptions
The operational changes are necessary to facilitate major construction projects aimed at improving station facilities and passenger safety. The work includes:
- Installation of a new foot overbridge at the Samdari yard.
- Construction of subways at Dudhia and Dundada stations within the Samdari-Luni section.
Jaisalmer-Sabarmati Express Route Diversion
The most significant change involves the Jaisalmer-Sabarmati Express (20485). Instead of its usual route through Luni-Bhildi-Mahesana, the train will operate on a diverted path via Luni-Marwar Junction-Mahesana.
During this diversion, the train will make scheduled halts at the following stations:
- Pali Marwar
- Marwar Junction
- Falna
- Abu Road
- Palanpur
Partial Cancellations and Terminations
In addition to the diversion, two other services will experience changes to their scheduled routes and destinations:
- Barmer-Bhagat Ki Kothi Express (14896): This service will not complete its full journey; it will terminate at Samdari station on October 23.
- Bhagat Ki Kothi-Palanpur Express (14893): This train will change its starting point and will depart from Samdari station instead of Bhagat Ki Kothi.
