Kaithal Implements Traffic Diversions For Ambala Road Railway Crossing Repairs

The city of Kaithal implemented significant traffic diversions on Friday, September 11, 2026, to manage congestion resulting from essential maintenance work at the Ambala Road railway crossing. Local authorities had issued a formal notice regarding the route changes on Thursday. To mitigate the impact of the closure and prevent severe traffic disruptions, the local traffic police deployed personnel to major intersections and diversion points to manage increased vehicle volume.
As part of the rerouting plan, Roadways buses and general traffic traveling toward Chandigarh were directed away from the Ambala Road crossing via the sugar mill area to the Hisar-Chandigarh National Highway. Additionally, buses arriving from Guhla-Cheeka were rerouted through Vishwakarma Chowk and Pehowa Chowk, eventually reaching Chhotu Ram Chowk on Karnal Road. These measures were taken to ensure the flow of traffic while the railway crossing remained closed for infrastructure repairs.
