The Kamakhya to Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper train has officially started its regular operations, connecting Assam and West Bengal with high speed comfort. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the service from Malda Town on January 17, 2026. This train covers a distance of approximately 970 km in 14 hours, providing a significant upgrade over traditional express trains for business travelers and tourists. The train operates six days a week, making long distance travel more convenient and modern for regular commuters.

The return train, 27576, leaves Kamakhya every day except Wednesday at 6:15 PM and reaches Howrah at 8:15 AM. The train stops at several important stations along the way to serve more passengers:
