New Kanpur to Anand Vihar Mail Service Announced
Indian Railways has officially approved a new daily overnight Kanpur to Anand Vihar Mail service to enhance rail connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. According to an announcement by the Railway Ministry on September 24, 2026, this new link will provide a convenient travel option for passengers moving between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal.
Detailed Train Schedule and Numbers
The new service will operate with two distinct train numbers to facilitate travel in both directions over the 428-kilometer route. The timings are as follows:
- Train Number 14153: This service is scheduled to depart from Kanpur Central at 8:40 PM and will reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 AM the following morning. The total journey time is approximately eight hours and 10 minutes.
- Train Number 14154: The return journey will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:25 PM and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 AM. This trip is expected to take eight hours.
Route and Commercial Halts
To cater to various regional needs, the new Mail service will include eight commercial stops. The train will halt at the following stations during its journey:
